What’s new:
  • v57 introduces the Presence Platform Audio SDK plug-in for FMOD. Learn all about how to download and use the new plug-in in the Oculus Development Center.
  • [Unity]/[Mac][Windows][Android] We’ve added a new directivity intensity control to the Unity plug-in that allows users to gradually change an audio object from an omnidirectional radiator to one that has a radiation pattern resembling that of the human voice. You can learn all about this new control for the Unity plug-in at the Oculus Development Center.

  • What’s fixed:
  • [FMOD][Unity]/[Mac][Windows][Android] There were tweaks to the near-field rendering to ensure that as sounds get closer to the listener they don’t ever get quieter. These changes to near-field rendering will therefore have an effect on the spatialized output level if you’re upgrading from any version before v56.
  • [Unity][Mac] We fix a crash that could happen when attempting to use our Unity plug-in while on an M1/arm Mac and attempting to load the plug-in from an intel version of Unity. Prior to this version you might see a crash whenever the binary is attempted to be loaded but with v57 everything loads and works normally.
  • [Unity] We fix audio glitches when multiple audio sources are starting and stopping together near or outside the max distance from the listener.
